Bio

The 2018 season was Bailey Walton's first season full time at Paul Smith’s College. The 2019 Season was her first recruited class as she was able to lead the Lady Bobcat’s to an 8-0-6 record. The season’s quarter-final upset took the Bobcats to the YSCC Final Four for the first time since 2012. Prior to Paul Smith’s College, in 2017 she was the Head Assistant coach on the Cortland women’s soccer staff. Prior to Cortland, Walton served as the head women’s soccer coach and an assistant men’s soccer coach at Paul Smith’s College in the fall of 2016 and was a ski instructor in Keystone, Colo., through May 2017. Walton is a 2016 graduate of Oswego St. with a bachelor’s degree in wellness management, a minor in sports nutrition and an athletic coaching minor. While at Oswego, she twice captained the women’s soccer team, earning first team All-SUNYAC and third team all-region honors. Walton also was named to the SUNYAC All-Academic Team four times and the SUNYAC Commissioner’s List three times. After graduating from Oswego, she has continued her education by earning a Master’s in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland. She currently lives in Saranac Lake with her husband Billy and their dog Jax.  Walton guided the Paul Smith's College women's soccer team to the USCAA Division 2 National Championship game in 2021, and was voted Yankee Small College Conference and United States Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the year.  She followed the 2021 season with another trip to Nationals in 2022 while earning her second straight USCAA Coach of the Year accolades and guiding the team to an undefeated regular season and back-to-back YSCC championships in as many years.
