Women's Rugby Sweep SLU & SUNY Potsdam on Road

Canton, NY ~ The Paul Smith's College women's rugby team traveled on the road on Saturday and picked up two big wins against regional rivals St. Lawrence University and SUNY Potsdam.  

First up for the Bobcats were the St. Lawrence University Saints who they battled to a 15-7 win in Rugby 10s.  They then shoretened up the bench and handled the SUNY Potsdam Bears 22-15 in Rugby 7s.  Scoring tries for the Bobcats were Olivia Kardohely, Maria Suffredini, Jade Atkins, Alexis McDonald, and Emma Gniewek.  

The day of rugby was dedicated to teammate Kimberly Braithwaite and her family.

The Bobcats host a home tournament this coming weekend at the Brighton Field in Gabriels, NY against some regional collegiate teams (TBD) with games starting at 10am.
