Bobcats on the Podium at US Biathlon Nationals
Casper, WY ~ The Paul Smith's College Nordic team recently competed in the US Biathlon National Championships held in Casper, WY in late-March, showcasing their skills and determination against some of the top biathletes in the country.
Diego Schillaci (New Paltz, NY) and Brady Miller (Presque Isle, ME) represented Paul Smith's College in the Junior Men's category, starting off strong in the Sprint event. Schillaci finished in an impressive eighth place with a time of 39:08, while Miller finished not far behind in 11th place with a time of 40:55. The following day, they competed in the grueling Pursuit event, where Miller finished in eighth place with a time of 47:15 and Schillaci finished right behind him in ninth at 47:57.
In the highly anticipated Relay event, Schillaci and Miller joined forces in the Mixed Masters Relay. The duo demonstrated impressive teamwork and determination, finishing in second place with a time of 1:01:08 and landing on the podium to finish the week as national runners-up.
Schillaci and Miller's outstanding performances in the US Biathlon Nationals reflect their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport. Their achievements are a testament to their exceptional skills and the rigorous training they undergo as part of the Paul Smith's College Nordic ski team.
