Bio

Mercedes graduated from Green Mountain College in 2019 with a BS in Psychology.  During her time at GMC, she became one of the most prolific scorers in school history.  Rideout became the 8th all-time leading women’s scorer finishing with well over 1100 career points.  She also set two scoring records with career threes (295) and threes made in a single season (89).  She was a four-year starter and never missed a game, a three-year captain, and a two-time Eagle Award winner.  Aside from basketball, Rideout also played soccer for two seasons, lacrosse for a season, and competed in a couple of volleyball and tennis matches. 

After graduating, Rideout continued her education at Castleton University and graduated in 2021 with a MS in Athletic Leadership.

Rideout just completed her second year at Paul Smith’s College.  She is the Athletics Operations manager, assistant women’s basketball coach, and athletics photographer. 

Rideout was born in Nashville, TN and resided in Pennsylvaniabefore moving to Vermont and now New York.  She enjoys photography, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and precious pup Sophie.

Fun Fact! Mercedes is a better shooter than her dad, despite what he may believe.
