Lady Bobcats Add 4 With 2017 Recruiting Class
Looking to improve off the 2016-17 season, the Lady Bobcats have brought 4 new players into the fold with the additions of Denise Smith-Jones, Alana Bowden, Cammy Mahmoud, and Judea Mosely. The 4 join a solid core and will look to break in the YSCC Elite 8 this year.
Denise Smith-Jones - Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School - Bronx, NY
Denise, who plays guard, averaged 8ppg and 3 assist to help lead Fannie Lou to a winning record for the 2016-17 season. "I chose PSC because I got recruited to play basketball and I really like their business program of entrepreneurial Studies. I also love the gym, how small the campus is, and the teacher to student ratio in each class," Denise said. "I'm looking forward to playing at PSC because I have been working hard and caint wait to be on campus for my first year of college!"
Denise plans to major in Business
Alana Bowden - Graceville High School - Graceville, FL
Alana, who plays guard, averaged 12ppg to go along with 4 assists. "I chose Paul Smith's for the opportunity to get away from home while playing basketball at the next level. I also like the location of the campus," Alana said. "I am looking forward to furthering my education and helping out the team anyway I can."
Alana plans to major in Biology.
Cammy Mahmoud - SUNY Sullivan - Brooklyn, NY
Cammy, who plays guard, averaged 14ppg for a team the won over 18 games during the 2016-17 season. "I chose PSC because I feel like it's a good opportunity for a new setting and learning experience both on and off the court. I liked the buildings and land most about campus, it's comfortable," said Cammy. "I am looking forward to improving my skills, competing and playing basketball at PSC. I am also looking forward to finising up my bachelors degree here."
Cammy plans to major in Communications
Judea Mosely - Juan Morel Campos Secondary School - Brooklyn, NY
Judea, who plays guard, averaged 12ppg to go along with 6rpg and 6 assists helping lead her team to a 14-1 season.
Judea plans to major in Biology.
