Cameron Lewis and Ashley Evans Win the 2013 Jingle Bell 5K Snowshoe Race
Cameron Lewis and Ashley Evans lead local field of snowshoe racers in 20th Annual Jingle Bell 5K Snowshoe Race

Cameron Lewis returned to his alma mater to claim first place in the 20th edition of the Jingle Bell 5K snowshoe race, held at the Paul Smith's College VIC. This is the first snowshoe race of the winter season for most competitors, so for most of the participants it is an opportunity to get outdoors on snowshoes and get their season started. Cameron was a stellar cross country runner for Paul Smith's, and since graduation, he has excelled in road bike racing and triathlons. He won the Jingle Bell with an outstanding time of 21:16 on the traditional course.
Mexico HS student Eric Hulber finished second in 22:03, followed closely by PSC freshman, Nic Pendl in 22:13. Ashley Evans was the first woman to finish, completing the 5K in 29:35. Evans was followed across the line by a parade of Paul Smith's women: Nicole Landry and Natalie Palko in identical times of 31:20, then Lea Anthony in 31:54.
