31st Annual Pumpkin McMuffin

5K Predict Your Time ~ Fun Run/Walk

11 AM – Saturday, November 2nd

Hosted by the PSC Striders

Registration:  9:30 – 10:45 AM Paul Smith's College VIC Lobby, Paul Smiths, NY.  The race will begin at 11 AM just outside the VIC.  The annual event is called the Pumpkin McMuffin in honor of Nic "McMuffin" Pendl's gifts of friendship to those who were fortunate enough to know him. Holiday costumes are frequently worn by many of the participants, making this a festive event for all.

Parking: Park at the VIC, located about 1 mile North of the campus, just off State Route 30. 

Entry Fee:  $2 per person – Paul Smith's College community; $15 General Public. 

Course:  The course will be entirely on woodland trails. The start and finish will be located just outside the main building at the VIC.  The VIC staff will layout the course and provide a map to those who are interested at race registration.  Although times will be recorded, the event is intended to be a fun run for PSC students, family members, and other participants. Traditional course records:   Tony Casey (Plattsburgh) 17:09 in 2011; Nikki Kimball (Elizabethtown) 20:06 in 2000 (US Trail Running Champion). 

Awards:  Various age group prizes will be given away after the event. Ten pounds of red or blue potatoes will be awarded to the fastest man and woman finisher.  A quart of maple syrup will be awarded to the man and woman who guess closest to their actual finish time. Pumpkin muffins and cider will be provided after the event. 

Age Groups:  A 14 & under;            B 15 – 19;            C 20 – 29;             D 30 – 45;             E 46 - 59;              F 60+.
