Bobcats' comeback cut short by Albany Pharmacy
Bobcats cut a 18 point deficit to 7, but fell short 70-60 to Albany Pharmacy.
This past Saturday, our Bobcats Basketball team took on Albany College of Pharmacy. Though they put in a truly sincere effort, they lost the game 70-60. Kyle Johnson led the Cats as the lead scorer with a total of 29 points throughout. Tyler Hollerer really stepped up his game controlling the ball as well as helping lead the offensive attack. He scored 11 points during the game.
Kyle Johnson gave some thoughts about the game and how the team played:
"I thought our effort was there, however we didn't play as smart as we should have and made some costly turnovers that led to fast breaks. They were a good team and played a little smarter than us and that's why they came out on top with the win. Tyler stepped up big as the primary ball handler and did a great job controlling our offense. I think our team learned a lot from this game and will hopefully take what we learned and use it in our next game so we can pull out the win."
Coach Dominique Boone made a few observations after the game that will hopefully make a big difference in their next game; "Turnovers once again killed us. The team did a great job fighting back and cutting it to 7 with 4 min left, but just could not take care of the ball and keep them off the glass. The guys never quit playing hard and that has been consistent throughout the year."
The team's turnovers have really been costing them points in the last week but they are hopeful to pull off another win in their season finale against Landmark College next Saturday the 20th
