Gray adds depth in Bobcat’s Front Court
PAUL SMITHS N.Y. –
Women’s basketball adds another strong weapon to the 2021 recruiting class with the addition of Jayla Gray. The 5'11" Forward from Smithfield, Virginia, played at Smithfield High School where she was a standout post player for three years, while averaging these stats her junior year 12.5 points 11 rebounds and 5 blocks per game. Unfortunately, a promising senior season was cancelled her senior year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“She will be a big presence on the inside for the upcoming season,” New Head Coach Andrew Pond said. “She will have a dominating presence in the post position in her upcoming four years as member of the Bobcats women's basketball team.”
Gray plans to study psychology while attending PSC and had this to say about her athletic opportunity, "I'm looking forward to meeting new people and having a change in scenery. As for basketball, I plan on bringing my aggressiveness and motivation to the team!”
Keep an out for more Bobcat commits coming as the summer continues.
