PAUL SMITHS N.Y. –
The newest Bobcat is Samantha Severing, from Livingston Manor, New York who will join both the Women’s Soccer and the Women’s Basketball programs.
Severing attended Livingston Manor Central School where she competed on both the varsity girls’ basketball and soccer teams. In 2018-2019 Livingston Manor girls’ basketball season Severing was able to help her team win the Section 9 Class D title. At the completion of her Junior year in 2020, Samantha was chosen to be on the Basketball Coaches Association of New York top 50 girls basketball players for the 2019-2020 season.
“Samantha's balance in offensive scoring and great defensive play will be a great addition to an already talented class” Coach Andrew Pond of the Lady Bobcats said about his newest roster member.
Coach Bailey Waterbury of the soccer program echoed Coach Pond’s excitement adding “We’re excited to bring a talented multi-sport athlete like Sam to Paul Smith’s College. Looking forward to having her join our offense this season!”
Daughter of daughter of Patrick Severing and Teri Lewis. Severing will be majoring in Environmental Science while attending PSC.
"I'm looking forward to bringing my competitive nature and drive for success to the team at Paul Smith's College. I'm always working to improve and can't wait to progress with the athletes on the team,” said Severing.
