Eleby joins Bobcat’s back court
PAUL SMITHS N.Y. –
Jastic Eleby, a 5'4" shooting guard from Sherman, Texas will be joining the Bobcats womens basketball team for the 2021-22 Campaign.. Eleby a graduate of Sherman High School,where she was a member of the girls varsity basketball team, will be attending Paul Smith’s College to study Hotel, Resort, & Tourism Management.
Eleby was a two-year starter for the Lady Bearcats of Sherman HS and was named honorable mention all-district her junior and senior seasons.
“We’re rebuilding and they see me as being a part of that,” Eleby said. “I’m excited to be a part of it; getting a new experience and meeting new people. When you get the opportunity, you’ve just got to take it.”
Prior to committing to the Bobcats Eleby had walk-on opportunities at Grand Canyon University, Langston University, East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma State.
Coach Pond said “ Jastic is going to provide a sniper like threat shooting it from deep which is a great match for the Bobcats offensive system.”
Eleby went on to say "I would like to thank the Paul Smith's College coaching staff for giving me a chance to see what I can do for there program and I'm excited to see what it has in store for me. I'm looking to bring to my new team is a shooter and someone that has a great attitude. I am looking forward to seeing what the college and the team will hold for me in the future and I'm just really excited to meet all the new people."
