Bobcats Bass Fishing Hook Second Place at New York State The Bass Federation Collegiate Cup Championship
The Paul Smith’s College Bass Fishing faced windy conditions this weekend as they participated in the New York State The Bass Federation (NYSTBF) Collegiate Cup Championship hosted on Lake George. As the team rounded the corner near “Anthony’s Nose” wind of over 10 mph came from the south keep the team on their toes and although the wind made fishing some of the crucial spots difficult the team still got it done.
PSC’s first team, made of members Ben Coolidge and Brandon Johnson, brought in a bag weighing 13.81 lbs. good for 2nd place highlighted by a 3.94 lbs. smallmouth bass. The second team of Justin Rozema and Nicholas Phippen, weighed in 10.55 lbs. which landed them in 5th in the field. The third boat, which was a team of Dylan Harter and Izayah Mcgill came it at 14th place.
Coach Bob Visicaro spoke highly of his team and congratulated them on the great season! “This tournament marks the last for a few of our previously graduated and soon to be graduated seniors.” Visicaro added, “thank you Brandon Johnson, Ben Coolidge, and Justin Rozema for the time you’ve put into this program to get us where we are today! You guys have come a long way!”
