Women's Soccer fights hard but falls to Green Mountain
Junior Anna Mehner and Freshman goalkeeper Rachel Matthews led the way for the Lady Bobcats, but it was not enough with PSC falling 3-0 against Green Mountain College (VT). The team performed great on the defensive end with many saves and stops, but was unable to capitalize on the offensive end.
Coach Zach Luzzi was very impressed with the level of play considering the team has only be together for a little over a week.
PSC Women's Soccer will play this Saturday at U. Maine Machias and Sunday at Unity College. "Both teams are very competitive and with another week of practice and conditioning under our belt, I think that we will see some more great things this weekend," Coach Luzzi said on the trip to Maine. "I expect great things from the team this year and we will improve off of last year as well as just getting better each day."
