Joe St. Cyr

Hometown:  Methuen, Massachusetts

High School:  The Brooks School, 2014.

Collegiate Athletic Honors:  

Cross Country:  YSCC Cross Country Runner of the Week, September 22, 2014; YSCC Men's Cross Country All Conference Team (2014).

Snowshoe Racing:  Joe finished third overall in the 5K at the 2015 Snowshoe World Championships in Quebec City with a time of 25:52, and won the men's 20 - 29 age category.

International Snowshoe Championships (Lewiston, ME ~ 2015):  Won the 8K Walk, Men's 4 X 100 Relay, Mixed 4 X 100 Relay, and the 800, 1,500 and the 3,000 Meters outright, with second place finishes in the sprints.  Joe earned International Snowshoe Championships Athlete of the Day honors (2015).

2015 Empire State Games (snowshoe racing):  Won the 100 (12.78), 400 (1:27.72), 800 (3:26.34) and the 5K in 24:45 (age 15 - 19).

Joe won the 2015 Saranac Lake Winter Carnival 2,000 meter snowshoe race under the lights at Dewey Mountain.  Joe placed second at the Highland Forest 10K Snowshoe Race with a time of 59:39, leading up to the US nationals in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  At Nationals, Joe placed 9th in the half marathon, with a time of 1:41:39.
