High School Athletic Honors Attained:  2 Varsity letters, one for cross country and one for football

Personal:  Son of MaryJo and James Polfleit, born October 29, 1993.

Dual Majors:  Business Management & Entrepreneurial Studies and Environmental Science

Academic Minor: Chemistry

Collegiate Academic Honors: USCAA Academic All American (2012 and 2013); Dean's List (Fall 2011, Spring 2012, Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Fall 2014).  Adirondack Scholar (Fall 2013, Spring 2014).  Paul Smith's College Adirondack Scholar designation honors students who have attained a semester GPA of 3.80 or higher.   Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) All Academic Team (Fall 2013, Fall 2014).

Collegiate Athletic Honors:  Jake was a member of the Men's 4 X 100 Relay Championship Team at the 2015 International Snowshoe Championships (Lewiston, ME).  He also earned silver medals in the 200 meters and the 4 X 100 Mixed Relay.  At US nationals, Jake was a member of the Paul Smith's College men's 4 X 2.5Km relay team that placed second.

Recreation Pursuits/Leisure Interests:  Hunting, fishing, cycling, being outdoors in general

Why Paul Smith’s?   I chose Paul Smiths because of the outdoor feeling and the reputation for being a good school for science.  I wanted to be able to learn about nature and the environment in a hands-on setting.
