Jennifer Maguder

Collegiate Sports:  Women’s Soccer and Snowshoe Racing

High School: West Seneca West Senior High School (2012)

High School Athletic Honors Attained: Captain of varsity soccer and basketball at WSW.  All-Western New York Scholar Athlete Team 2012.  Western New York 1st team All-Star for soccer. 

Personal:  Daughter of Joseph and Denise Maguder (sister of Jessica Maguder), born June 18, 1994.

Academic Major:  Environmental Science

Academic Minors: Chemistry and Environmental Studies

Collegiate Academic Honors:  USCAA National All Academic Team (Fall 2013; Spring 2014; Fall 2014).   Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) All Academic Team (Fall 2013, Fall 2014). Paul Smith's College Adirondack Scholar: (Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Spring 2014, Fall 2014).  Paul Smith's College Dean's List:  Fall 2013.

Collegiate Athletic Honors/Achievements

Women's Soccer:  Jen was selected as a team captain (2013 & 2014).

Snowshoe Racing (2014):  Jen earned a bronze medal in the 5K at the 2014 Empire State Games.

Snowshoe Racing (2015):  Jen qualified for US Snowshoe Nationals at the Empire Snowshoe Racing Association (ESSRA) championships with a 4th place finish (age 20 - 29).  Jen was a member of the Paul Smith's College women's team that placed third at US Nationals in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  She was also a member of the 4 X 2.5 Km women's relay team that won at US nationals in 2015.

 

Other Athletic Interests: Basketball and lacrosse

Recreation Pursuits/Leisure Interests: Running, snowshoeing, hiking, mountain biking, ice skating, snowboarding, cross country skiing, reading and writing.

Why Paul Smith’s?  I liked the small, picturesque campus with a perfect location, the environmental science program, the scholarship opportunities, and the college’s ownership of the VIC.
