Men's Rugby crushes Potsdam
The Men's Rugby squad had another successful weekend. On Saturday they defeated SUNY Potsdam 56-7. Bronson and Cody Liguori led the way in scoring tries with 5 and 2 respectively. Dan Sutch chipped in 1 try while Anthony Catalano rounded out the scoring by kicking all 8 conversions without a miss.
In the pack Brandon Dummitt, Mason Fountain, Bradley Mussen and Bo Liguori played very well putting a lot of pressure on the Potsdam forwards. Davis Stockton , A.J. Meyer, Anthony Catalano and Cody Liguori were outstanding in the back line.
"We only had 3 substitutes when the game began while Potsdam had 9 subs. The game was called 8 minutes early because Potsdam was down to only 12 players (15 required) while we had a full 15 on the field with 2 subs ready to continue play if needed. The temperature on the field was around 90 degrees and the pace of the game very fast. This is a testament to the conditioning of our players," Head Coach Mark Buckley had to say about the game.
Men's Rugby next contest is this coming Sunday at home vs. SUNY Plattsburgh. Both PSC and SUNY Plattsburgh are currently tied for 1st in the conference.
