February 9th & 10th – Paul Smiths, NY – The weekend saw the Bobcats host two conference teams. On Saturday winless Hampshire traveled to the Adirondacks to face mighty Paul Smith's College.
Despite a relatively close half, the Bobcats would take the win with ease against Hampshire pulling away in the second have with 47 points. With the final score being 79 to 56.
Leading the Cats on Saturday were Junior Sterling Scott (Brooklyn, NY) who again would have another big performance leading the team with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Freshman David Harris (Tampa, FL) would contribute 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Sunday would bring about the nationally ranked Green Knights of Vermont Tech. The Bobcats would come out guns blazing taking it to the Knights ending the first half with a lead of 38-35. Although things would turn sour in the second half as Vermont Tech would make a big run to give them back the lead and eventually the win 83-74.
Leaders for the Cats' on the day were Junior Transfer Rahiem Robinson (Hartford, CT) with 19 points, Sterling Scott (Brooklyn, NY) also had 19, Kenny Smith (Yonkers, NY) came off the bench and contributed 11 points, 4 rebounds and three blocks.
With the Regular Season and Conference Play finished the Bobcats finish with a 10-19, 5-10 in YSCC play record now move into the quarterfinals of the YSCC playoffs as the 6th seed and will travel to 3rd seed Vermont Tech this Sunday as the winner of this matchup will move on to the YSCC Final Four!
