Cardiac Cats lose heartbreaker to Rival
Feb 6th – Paul Smiths, NY – On Wednesday night the Men's basketball team played hosted to big-time rivals North Country Community College in a packed and rowdy Saunders Gym.
The Bobcats would struggle in the first half only putting up 24 points while allowing a total of 43. But second half bring out the best in these Cats'. Backed by a loud and rowdy crowd the Cardiac Cats would make a NCCC twenty point lead disappear in the second half mounting a furious comeback outscoring the shocked Saints 56 to 52, but it wasn't enough to hold back North Country who made a late run to pull away with a tough win.
Leaders for the Bobcats were Rahiem Robinson (Hartford, CT) who scored 25 points. David Harris (Tampa, FL) had another double-double on the season recording 12 points and 13 rebounds while also getting three steals and a block. Sterling Scott (Brooklyn, NY) also contributed with a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
With the loss the Bobcats fall to 9-18 overall. The Bobcats return to the court this weekend to end their regular season conference schedule against winless Hampshire and nationally ranked Vermont Tech.
