Feb 2nd & 3rd – Paul Smiths, NY – Over the weekend the Bobcats played host to the Unity Rams for a weekend doubleheader. Unity who had a nine-hour bus drive to get to PSC for the weekend struggled to keep pace with the Bobcats.
The first game held on Saturday, January 2nd was a close affair with the game tied at the half 35 to 35. But the Bobcats managed to pull away in the second half winning the game 81 to 75.
Freshman David Harris (Tampa, FL) lead the team in scoring with 16 points and put up 11 rebounds. Senior Donovan Miller (Glens Falls, NY) who started on his senior day would lead the team in rebounds with 14 and also would put up six points. While Kenny Smith (Yonkers, NY) would again prove himself to be a valuable asset to the team having another all-around performance off the bench, with 11 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.
Sunday was another close first half with Unity only trailing Paul Smith's by three points, but this time around the Bobcats come out and would demolish the Rams in the second half scoring 56 points and holding Unity to only 29 in the second half. The final score would be Paul Smith's 98 to Unity's 68.
The Bobcats had three scorers go over 20 points this game. With Junior Rahiem Robinson (Hartford, CT) leading the way with 26 points, while Sterling Scott (Brooklyn, NY) was next scoring 25 points while also recording 11 rebounds and five assists. Freshman David Harris (Tampa, FL) was the final 20-point scoring putting up 21 points and recording another double-double by adding 10 rebounds to the effort.
With the doubleheader sweep the Bobcats improve to 9-17 while also improving to 4-10 in conference play. The Bobcats will host huge rival North Country Community College tomorrow at 7 PM.
