Despite Rally, Bobcats fall to Mustangs.
Feb 1st, 2019 – Paul Smiths, NY – The previous Friday the men's basketball team faced off against conference foe the Central Maine Community College Mustangs.
In the first half the 'Cats would struggle allowing 56 points in the first half while only scoring 32. Despite a late game rally that saw the Bobcats put up 53 points in the second half it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Mustangs.
Leading the way for the Bobcats was Rahiem Robinson (Hartford, CT) who put up a game high 29 points, Kenny Smith (Yonkers, NY) would come off the bench and score 20 points for the Cats, while Sterling Scott (Brooklyn, NY) put up 15 points, and eight rebounds. David Harris (Tampa, FL) would add another double-double on his resume recording 10 points, and 10 rebounds.
The Bobcats would again struggle to shoot the ball only making 33 percent of their field goals and only 21 percent from three-point land.
With the loss on the season the Bobcats dropped to 7-17 and 2-10 in YSCC play and will have a weekend doubleheader against the Unity College Rams which will include senior night on Saturday to honor the only Men's basketball Senior Donovan Miller.
