Concord, NH - This past weekend the Men's basketball team traveled to Concord, NH to take part in the Hogan Camps Holiday Festival tournament.
On Saturday, the men's team faced off against YSCC Powerhouse NHTI. The Bobcats were defeated 108 to 86.
The Bobcats were led by sophomore guard Sterling Scott (Brooklyn, NY) with 26 points he also lead the team with seven assists and nine rebounds. Rahiem Robinson(Hartford, CT) added 19 points and three rebounds, and David Harris (Tampa, FL) tacked on an additional 15 points, four boards, for Paul Smith's.
The Bobcats shot 47.7% from the field and struggling behind the arc shooting 29.4. The Cats were also out rebounded by NHTI 39-38.
Sunday was a much better result for the Bobcats, as they faced off against Ben Franklin Institute of Tech. The Bobcats fought a tough & close game but were able to overcome the Chargers 71-62.
The Cat's were led by junior Rahiem Robinson (Hartford, CT) who led the team in scoring with 14 points, while also adding five rebounds and four assists. Kenny Smith (Yonkers, NY) recorded a double double with 16 rebounds and 10 points on the day. David Harris (Tampa, FL) added 13 points and nine rebounds on the day, and junior Adam Seguin (Baldwinsville, NY) added 11 points, and five rebounds.
The Bobcats shot 45.5% from the field and shot 31.6% from behind the arc while out rebounding the Chargers 46-32.
With the weekend over the Bobcats record is now (4-7, 1-3 YSCC). The Cats next travel to local Clinton Community College to face the Cougars this Tuesday.
