Back to Back Bobcats as YSCC Player of the Week
Last week Nayleece Williams was named YSCC Player of the Week after leading the Paul Smith’s College women’s volleyball to a currently undefeated mark in conference play. After another week of the Bobcats dominating in the conference Senior Captain Paige Farrington earned the honor.
Farrington lead the bobcats 4-0 conference record this week with wins over NHTI, UM Machias, CMCC, and the previously undefeated GBCC, all while racking up 75 assist & 19 service aces.
“I'm very honored to be recognized as player of the week.” Farrington said, “I wouldn't have gotten this recognition without the help and support from my amazing team, Coach Ritt, and Coach Bridget. I'm excited to see what the rest of the season holds for us, CATCH US AT CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND, HOME, OCTOBER 20th!!”
Farrington, a senior studying Natural Resources Conservation and Management at PSC, is ready to lead her squad back to an YSCC title. After the team performance this weekend the Bobcats are the sole owners of first place in the conference with an untouched 7-0 record.
Head coach Ritt Roberge had this to say about Farrington, “Paige is Captain of the women’s volleyball team & a true leader on & off the court. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she makes others better players by her play. One of the most knowledgeable & hard working players we have I’ll be sorry to see her leave as this is her senior year as a Bobcat
The Bobcats are back in action this weekend as they travel to Vermont to take on NCAA DIII Castleton Spartans Universty of Southern Maine Huskies.
