Ranger Earns Weekly Conference Honors
Senior Ohrisha Ranger, who is studying Hospitality Resort and Tourism Management, took home the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) player of the week this week.
Paul Smith's College went 2-1 this weekend while Ranger played some of her best volleyball of the season. Ranger lead the team tallying 19 kills on 78 attempts and seven blocks for 26 points scored.
“I’m very thankful for the recognition. Our team has come a long way and I am proud to be a part of it,” Ranger commented.
Coach Ritt Roberge was pleased to see Ranger get the nod from the conference remarking that, “Ohrisha is a gifted athlete with a 20” vertical, she can really take over a match!”
Ranger marks the third Bobcat this season to earn the honors on the currently tied for first place volleyball team. Teammate Paige Farrington and Nayleece Williams both earned conference player of the week earlier this year.
The team is back in action this weekend as the host the YSCC Conference tournament. The Bobcats will be looking to defend their title as Conference Champions and advance to nationals in Virginia Beach.
