Bobcat’s Golf Takes Home the Hardware
The Bobcats traveled to Portsmouth this weekend to take part in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championship this weekend at Pease Golf Course and took home the title for the fourth time in five years.
The Bobcats were led by co-captain junior Justin Engler who shot a league best 79. Engler had plenty of support from his teammate, junior Austin Delosh (85, third place) sophomore Ryan Thomas (86, fourth place), and freshman Samuel Lipe (89). As a team the Bobcats shot an outstanding 339 beating the NHTI Lynx by 2 strokes. Engler, Delosh, and Thomas’s efforts were enough to earn the YSCC all-conference honors. Coach Rod Bushy was named YSCC Coach of the year for the second time. He applauded his team on their overall effort. This ends an incredible golf season where the team excelled not only on the links but also in the classroom, adding 5 Academic All-Americans to their list of honors.
